On their fifth and last day, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge traveled to Hamburg, where G20 Summit was organized a few days earlier. It is Germany's second largest city and its links with the United Kingdom go back to the 13th century.

The couple visited the Maritime Museum and met scientists who were celebrating the UK-Germany year of science, which is focused on oceans. The museum had a model of the Queen Mary II made entirely of lego.
