The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte landed in Warsaw airport at around midday to start their 5-day tour in Poland and Germany.

While we are used to seeing the royal couple undertaking official tours in Commonwealth countries, they have slightly changed to European countries this year. In fact, the Foreign Office has included members of the royal family in its 'soft diplomacy' strategy after Brexit.

In the afternoon, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Warsaw Rising Museum, built in memory of the operation by Police resistance Home Army to liberate the city from German occupation before Soviet Army arrived in 1944.

Their Royal Highnesses met Major Marian Slowinski and Colonel Edmund Brzozowski, members of the Polish Army and Resistance during World War II. Then, they lit candles in memory of those involved in the uprising.

Then, they visited Warsaw Spire Building, where they met young Polish entrepreneurs and marked the beginning of a 'Warsaw-London Bridge' which helps small Polish businesses to collaborate and do business with the city of London.
