The Duchess of Cambridge joined her husband The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry at the graduation of Coach Core coaching apprentices at West Ham's Stadium in London.

Her presence was a total surprise since on 12 October Kensington Palace said The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry only were expected to attend. Catherine was feeling better that week. Only two days before she had joined Prince William and Prince Harry for a charity event at Paddington Station.
Coach Core is an organization launched by The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Its aim is to give young people aged 16-24 the chance to become the next generation of inspirational sports coaches.
Catherine met and chatted with Judy Murray. Judy, Andy Murray's mother, is a Scottish tennis coach and had helped in teaching tennis elements to students.
The royal trio watched a number of different sports being played, met the students, teachers, and staff before attending the graduation ceremony.
From Prince Harry's speech: "We felt confident that for many young people, at risk of falling through the cracks, as they left school, sport could be the answer to keeping them on track or change the course their lives were already headed.
[...] We believe that our graduates here today really are the future of coaching. They have each been on a unique journey, sedigned to build on their existing skills to equip them with the tools to be effective role models and mentors in their communities."
