King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia left for the United Kingdom with an official farewell at Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas airport late in the evening.
It's interesting to notice that on this occasion only the newest European monarch (King Felipe VI) will officially meet the longest reigning one (Queen Elizabeth II).
Re Felipe VI e la regina Letizia sono partiti per il Regno Unito in tarda serata dopo il saluto ufficiale all'aereoporto Alfonso Suarez Madrid-Barajas.
E' interessante notare che durante il viaggio l'ultimo monarca europeo ad essere incoronato (Re Felipe VI) incontrerà quello con il regno più longevo (la regina Elisabetta II) si incontreranno ufficialmente.

As the short video released by the British Foreign Office shows, the state visit will strengthen the political and economic relationship between Spain and United Kingdom ahead of Brexit.
In fact, the UK is the 3rd largest investor in Spain. In 2015, Spain invested more in the UK than in any other European country. Around 700 British companies are investing in Spain and over 400 Spanish companies are registered in the UK.
