The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a state banquet hosted by Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace for King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain.
The Spanish royal couple arrived the previous day late in the evening and was officially welcomed in the United Kingdom at Horse Guard Parade.
Il Duca e la Duchessa di Cambridge hanno partacipato alla cena di stato organizzata dalla regina Elisabetta a Buckingham Palace in onore di re Filippo VI e della regina Letizia di Spagna.
La coppia reale spagnola era arrivata a Londra la sera prima ed era stata accolta ufficialmente nel Regno Unito a Horse Guard Parade.
From Queen Elizabeth's speech: "A relationship like ours, founded on such great strengths and common interests, will ensure that both our nations prosper, now and in the future, whatever challenges arise. With such a remarkable shared history, it is inevitable that there are matters on which we have not always seen eye to eye. But the strength of our friendship has bred a resilient spirit of cooperation and goodwill."
Dal discorso della regina Elisabetta: "Un'amicizia come la nostra, fondata su grande forza ed interessi comuni, farà in modo che entrambe le nostre nazioni prosperino, ora ed in futuro, contro ogni avversità. Con una così straordinaria storia in comune, è inevitabile che ci siano temi su cui non sempre siamo stati d'accordo. It was the first state dinner for Prince Harry. He escorted the Marchioness of Cholmondeley into the banquet and sit next to her.
E' stata la prima cena di stato per il principe Harry. Ha scortato la Marchesa di Cholmondeley al tavolo e ha seduto accanto a lei tutta la sera.
Among the guests Prime Minister Theresa May, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. They had salmon and beef with potatoes and runner beans, dark chocolate and raspberry tart, fruit and coffee.
Tra gli ospiti il primo ministro Theresa May, il principe Filippo, il principe Carlo, la Duchessa di Cornovaglia, la principessa Anna, il Conte e la Contessa di Wessex, il duca e la duchessa di Gloucester. E' stato servito loro salmone e filetto di manzo con patate e fagiolini, crostata con cioccolato fondente e lamponi, frutta e caffè.
The Duchess of Cambridge was wearing Queen Elizabeth's Bandeau Necklace. It was a wedding gift to the Queen from her parents and hasn't been worn since the 1980s. The earrings she's wearing probably belonged to Princess Diana.
La Duchessa di Cambridge portava al collo la Bandeau Necklace della regina Elisabetta. Era uno dei regali di nozze che ricevette dai suoi genitori e non veniva indossata dagli anni '80. Invece gli orecchini probabilmente appartenevano alla principessa Diana.
